Never before has this topic been addressed in such a cross-disciplinary and in-depth manner at a conference organised by our learned society. And yet, AI is already here and is gradually becoming embedded in our practices: personalised prevention, imaging, diagnostic support, pathological anatomy, genomics, radiotherapy, clinical research, the organisation of care pathways, and in the future… perhaps even in our therapeutic decisions themselves.This conference will provide an opportunity to bring together our various medical disciplines, patients, researchers, data scientists and ethics experts to explore together the promises, but also the limitations and responsibilities associated with these innovative tools.Beyond the technological aspects, this conference aims to be people-centred. For behind every algorithm, there is a patient, a story, a decision. And that is precisely the crux of the matter: rethinking our role as doctors in the age of AI, without ever losing sight of our clinical responsibility and our ethical commitment.
